His foundation in the space began as a mentee of pioneers Dr. Robert E.L. A true pioneer of the “end of prohibition,” Schnapper co-founded the High Art Collective in 2008—the world’s first psychedelic art gallery and cannabis dispensary. Tobias Erny began his career in the chemical-pharmaceutical industry in Basel, Switzerland, where he first experienced the healing potential of Ibogaine in 2006. Intrigued by its vast possibilities, he committed to extensive research and work with this remarkable molecule. In 2008, he started working with the traditional plant medicine Iboga. He is initiated into the Dissoumba-Fang tradition of Bwiti and regularly visits Gabon to deepen his understanding. Alongside the team at Nachtschattenverlag—publisher of Albert Hofmann and Stanislav Grof in the German-speaking world—he published the German standard on Iboga, organized conferences, and lectured on the subject. In addition to his educational efforts at universities and various events, he serves as the Co-Director of the Global Iboga Therapy Alliance (GITA), a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about Iboga and its alkaloids. GITA promotes Iboga’s sacramental and therapeutic benefits through sustainability initiatives, scientific research, education, and knowledge transfer while also acting as a provider hub. Currently, he is conducting a study focused on the effects of Iboga microdosing for patients with Parkinson’s disease.

Sidsel is a PhD fellow in social anthropology at the University of Bergen in Norway. Her PhD project titled (Up)rooted healing: relational trajectories of iboga/ine efficacy from Gabon to the opioid crisis follows iboga and its many derivates in selected localised encounters where it has been or is currently used for therapeutic purpose. Apart from tracing the historical trails of iboga/ine from its colonial appropriation from the Congo Basin in the 19th century through its early pre-1960s implementation in western pharmaceutics, I have explored its manifold current uses in Gabon and followed a clinical trial in Spain that investigates the safety and efficacy of using ibogaine for ceasing methadone dependence. Finally, she has done extensive fieldwork at a therapeutic retreat centre in southern Europe where iboga/ine is given to manage a broad range of conditions related to substance dependence and psycho-spiritual affliction. In all these varying settings, she analysed how iboga/ine exhibits different forms of efficacies depending on the differing contextual, political, ecological, socio-cultural, pharmacological, and extra-pharmacological relations. In highlighting the intricate relational webs in which iboga/ine has been and is entangled when developing potency and exerting efficacy, her project also discusses the ethical challenges inherent in the current globalisation of iboga/ine and its attempt to dissociate from the obligation to recognize and reciprocate to the cultural and ecological origins of iboga and its therapeutic uses in and around the Congo Basin.

Quentin di Constanzo is a recognized Master Grower and cannabis genetics expert with over 15 years of experience spanning the pharmaceutical and recreational sectors. As the founder and CEO of Aficionado French Connection and a partner at Aficionado Humboldt, he has led operations across the United States, Canada, Colombia, Turkey, and Portugal. Holding a degree in horticulture with a specialization in tissue culture and varietal improvement, Quentin combines rigorous scientific methods with a deep respect for tradition. His passion for biodiversity has taken him on expeditions to remote regions across Africa, the Himalayas, and South America to study and preserve rare landrace genetics. This dedication to ethical conservation allows him to bridge the gap between ancient botanical practices and modern scientific innovation. A respected figure in the global industry, Quentin has designed large-scale GACP and GMP compliant projects, advised national regulators on pharmaceutical frameworks, and developed winning strategies for multiple international brands. His contributions to the field were recently honored with his induction into the Breeders Wall of Fame at the Hash Marijuana & Hemp Museum.

Ryan is the Founder of Root Healing and a dedicated student of the Missoko Bwiti tradition under Moughenda. He has successfully launched legal, traditional Iboga centers in Europe, Asia, and the United Stated, bringing “above-ground” accessibility to this sacred medicine. Ryan believes the Bwiti tradition is essential in Iboga and Ibogaine treatments, offering a necessary framework for safety and success. Through Missoko Bwiti Alliance, he shares the tradition in the United States.

Jonathan has degrees from Princeton and London School of Economics, but for the last twenty years has charted a course through audio and sound reproduction which has truly never been traveled. Founding two companies (Oswalds Mill Audio/OMA and Fleetwood Sound) which many regard as producing the finest sounding audio systems in the world today, Jonathan has led an international team of world class engineers, designers and experts in the creation not simply of the best equipment but in understanding and reimagining how sound can be used across a range of applications, including psychedelic research, exploration and therapy. Jonathan joined the FDA Phase Two Clinical Trials conducted by New York University for Alcohol Use Disorder in 2018/2019 and was successfully and completely cured of alcoholism with high dose psilocybin. This experience set him off on a path to understand how the music and sonic parts of psychedelic treatment work with the mind and body. Intensive research and study over the ensuing 6.5 years have given Jonathan hands on experience with practices using psychedelic substances and sound, indigenous musical traditions and healing modalities all over the world. In particular, Weiss has focused on how sound is actually received and processed during the psychedelic experience. His belief is that sound is the critical, key ingredient in this process and that by improving the quality and delivery of sound to subjects in the psychedelic process that outcomes can be dramatically improved over current, standard practices.

Spencer “Missambo” Burton is the founder of Iboga Rebirth Missoko Bwiti Church and co-founder of the Missoko Bwiti Alliance (MBA), a frontrunner in leading the charge to bring the Missoko Bwiti tradition to the USA in a safe, useful, and cohesive way. Spencer specializes in his skilled translation of the indigenous tradition into a Western framework to help bring embodied healing with Iboga as a sacrament—and as a tool for returning to our innate simplicity as humans. As host of the Get To The Root Iboga Podcast, his work includes providing accurate content on the tradition for education, preparation, integration, and direct experience with life itself.

Terence Mickey brings a specialized focus on narrative structure and active listening to the Iboga Leadership Summit, where he explores the vital role of story in shaping our understanding of Iboga. Central to his presentation is an exploration of the Bwiti oral tradition, examining how the preservation of ancestral wisdom through spoken narrative serves as a foundation for Iboga’s spiritual and cultural identity. His methodology aligns a project’s deeper purpose with communication strategies that authentically connect with diverse audiences, bridging the gap between ancient oral lineages and modern global dialogue. An award-winning storyteller and executive coach, Terence co-developed the Silver Project Isaac Invention Award-winning Evoke Conversational Storytelling product. He has worked with leadership at global organizations such as Google, Nike, Ford, and Cigna to solve complex communication challenges and align strategic visions. At the summit, he applies this expertise to help the Iboga community refine its narrative rebranding and storytelling sales training, ensuring that as the plant’s influence expands, its story remains rooted in integrity and clarity.

Dr. Manesh Girn is a neuroscientist and psychedelic researcher whose work spans basic science, translational impact, and public education. His work is guided by a commitment to understanding how psychedelics and related neuroplasticity-promoting therapies reconfigure the brain to support healing and transformation. He is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Five Discovery, a psychedelic biotechnology company developing next-generation, psychedelic-inspired therapeutics for neurodegenerative disorders. Previously, Dr. Girn completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, where he worked with Dr. Robin Carhart-Harris to investigate the neural mechanisms underlying psychedelic experiences and their therapeutic potential. Dr. Girn has authored over two dozen peer-reviewed publications on psychedelics, brain networks, and cognition, including in prestigious journals such as Nature Medicine, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Brain. He also serves as Scientific Director of The Center for MINDS, a non-profit research organization exploring psychedelics and consciousness practices as catalysts for creativity and insight in real-world contexts. In parallel with his academic and translational work, Dr. Girn is the creator of The Psychedelic Scientist, a popular YouTube and Instagram platform dedicated to making psychedelic science and related topics accessible to a broad audience.

Samantha Villasenor is a provider and educator of Iboga medicine. She focuses on helping people understand the depth of healing that can take place not only through Iboga itself, but through the teachings of the Bwete tradition. Her work explores why the Western world continues to struggle with rising mental health challenges and addiction despite the modern psychological models and methodologies. Over the past year, she has spent time supporting Moughenda’s village in Gabon, deepening her understanding of Bwete and the importance of tradition, responsibility, and safety in plant medicine work. At the Iboga Leadership Summit, she will speak on healing beyond symptom relief, reducing stigma around plant medicine, and the value of traditional wisdom in guiding responsible practice.

A post-doctoral researcher at INSERM (Cermes3) within the ARCHE project funded by IRESP, Vincent Verroust works on psychedelic substances from a humanities and social sciences perspective. He defended a doctoral thesis (UPJV) on the heuristic implications of the discovery of hallucinogenic mushrooms in Mexico. Actively involved in shaping the field of psychedelic studies in France, he initiated the first French professional training program on psilocybin administration in medical research, participates in the training of psychotherapists interested in the medical use of serotonergic hallucinogens in Switzerland, and supports several French hospital teams in the implementation of therapeutic research with these substances.

Akua Ofosuhene is a Sacred Ayahuasca Ceremony Guide and healing advocate based in Kokrobite, Ghana — where the medicine she was called to serve grows on the same soil she walks. With nearly a decade of experience, she brews her own Ayahuasca medicine using Caapi Vine and Chacruna cultivated in Ghana, offering private and group ceremonies, retreats, and corporate healing experiences across West Africa and internationally. Her journey into plant medicine was not abstract — it was urgent. When her teenage son was groomed into county lines drug dealing in London and conventional interventions failed him, Akua turned to psychedelics, natural healing modalities, and African spiritual practices. What she found changed everything. That lived experience of healing where systems could not reach now forms the bedrock of her work with parents navigating county lines, individuals emerging from cults and high-demand relationships, and those ready to release the past and step into wholeness. Akua is a sought-after voice in the global psychedelic landscape. She sits on the management board of Breaking Convention — Europe’s largest psychedelic conference — and has spoken at Oxford University, UCL, and numerous international festivals and platforms. She is the founder of African Spiritual Practices Events, held in both Ghana and the United Kingdom, and a member of the Traditional Herbalist Association of Ghana. In Ghana, shes beginning work alongside pastors supporting people leaving prison. Her current work extends beyond ceremony. Akua is the driving force behind the Global Sacred Plant Medicine Reciprocity Fund — a first-of-its-kind initiative to create a structured financial pipeline from non-indigenous practitioners, retreat centres, researchers, and pharmaceutical interests worldwide, directly to the indigenous Ayahuasca lineage holders of the Amazon and Iboga wisdom keepers of Central Africa. Governed outside of Western institutions and rooted in the Global South, the fund innerstands reciprocity not as charity, but as economic decolonisation. She will be presenting findings from this initiative at Breaking Convention conference in 2026. At the heart of all of it is a single conviction: that ancestral plant wisdom and contemporary healing are not in tension — they are each other’s completion.

Darren Le Baron is an educator specialising in mycology and psychedelic research, and is based between the UK and the Caribbean. Known around the world for his Shroomshop Master classes and mushroom educational programs, he is a keen cultivator and teacher. He has been growing gourmet and medicinal mushrooms for over thirteen years and has translated his home growing experiences into a social enterprise. His achievements include launching the UK's first accredited Mycology and Mushroom Cultivation course for schools and young people in 2021, providing hands-on experience to empower school children and at-risk youth. Darren is a knowledgeable and dynamic speaker who is passionate about sharing his research and findings on ethnomycology, ancient African plant medicines and their various applications. He is a member and presenter at the London Psychedelic Society, a chair and Breaking Convention committee member. He is also a regular presenter at the Detroit Psychedelic Conference, All Things Fungi, Ozora, Noisily and Lightning in a Bottle Festivals, as well as numerous gatherings around the world sharing his extensive research on psychedelics and how they can help support humanity in the here and now. He is also an Organic Horticulturist and Permaculture tutor who supports schools, businesses and so called hard to reach communities around the world to create holistic and sustainable working systems.
